Hint: To draw the diagram we first need to know what does the simple microscope consist of. A simple microscope is a convex lens where in the image is kept between the focus of the lens so that the image formed is virtual and magnified. While drawing make sure the symmetry is taken into consideration.
Complete step by step answer:
Here is the labeled diagram outlining a simple microscope. To draw the ray diagram, place the object between the focus and the lens. Consider only two rays of incident light. One through the optical centre of the lens and the other that passes through the focus. Take the distance between the either two focuses and the lens sufficient enough so that the image is formed not too much behind the lens. Use the dotted line rays behind the mirror as well as for the image to indicate the image is virtual.
Note:
The magnification of a simple microscope is given by $m=\dfrac{D}{f}+1$ where D is the distance between the lens and the image formed and f is the focal length of the convex lens used. A person to see the image has to look in the lens at a distance of minimum 25 cm. Going closer to the lens than this the image will not be visible as our least distance of distinct vision is 25cm. The magnification of the image formed also depends on D, which means far from the convex lens the image will be sharper. A simple microscope has a limited maximum magnification of about 10 for realistic focal lengths. A simple microscope is basically used in real life as magnifying glass, some jewelers use it to see the fine jewellery work by archeologists to read ancient manuscripts etc.
