(ii). They decided who shall hold the floor and who will speak in deliberations of the house.

(iv). They have to be emotionally strong so as to announce the result.
The speaker of the Lok Sabha does not vote, but if there is a tie between two people he casts his vote. The speaker of the Lok Sabha also conducts the business in the house. He decides whether a bill is a money bill or not.

There must be eligible criteria in order to become the speaker of the Lok Sabha. They are-
- He or she must have citizenship of India.
- The age must not be less than 25 years.
- He or she must not hold any office profit under the Government of India or also not in the State Government.
